Margaret Hyams, DDS
Located in Midvale, Dr. Hyams provides expert dental care to residents of Cottonwood Heights, Sandy UT, and beyond.
Dr. Margaret Hyams is a second-generation dentist with a deep-rooted passion for high level patient care and clinical excellence. Born and raised in
Billings, Montana, she spent many summers throughout high school and
college working in her father’s dental practice—an experience that shaped her
interest in dentistry and commitment to the profession.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduating in 2017. After dental school, she returned
home to join her father’s private practice, where she honed her skills under his
mentorship and developed a patient-centered approach to care.
In 2021, Dr. Hyams and her husband made the decision to relocate to Salt
Lake City, Utah, drawn by new professional opportunities and a love for the
outdoors. They quickly came to appreciate the area’s welcoming community
and vibrant, active way of life. Before joining the Fort Union Dentist team, Dr.
Hyams expanded her clinical experience as an associate dentist at a
respected cosmetic-focused private practice in Millcreek.
Dr. Hyams is deeply committed to lifelong learning and the continual pursuit of
clinical excellence. She has completed hundreds of hours of advanced
training in dental implant placement and surgical techniques through Implant
Pathway and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. In addition, she has
pursued extensive continuing education in endodontics, complex restorative
and full-mouth reconstruction, as well as therapeutic and aesthetic
applications of Botox. She believes in conservative, thoughtful diagnosis and
treatment planning, and she prioritizes building long-term, trusting
relationships with her patients.
For Dr. Hyams, dentistry is the perfect balance of science and art—allowing
her to deliver care that is both technically excellent and aesthetically pleasing.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time in the mountains with her
husband and their two dogs, Scarlet and Rosie. Her favorite outdoor activities
include skiing, fly fishing, backpacking, running, and playing intramural soccer.
